Welcome to Parish Passenger, a personalized transportation service for seniors in St.Tammany Parish, Louisiana, and surrounding areas. By using our services, website, or the Moovs app for booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

1. Services Overview

 

Parish Passenger provides transportation services for seniors, focusing on reliability, privacy, and personalized care. I, the operator of Parish Passenger, will be your dedicated driver, assisting with rides for appointments, errands, or social outings. Services are offered through:

  • Subscriptions: Weekly ($125) or monthly ($450) plans with included round trips.

  • Per-Trip/On-Demand: Non-subscription rides booked via the Moovs app.

2. Eligibility

  • Our services are designed for seniors (65+) or individuals with mobility needs in Mandeville, Louisiana, and surrounding areas (St. Tammany Parish, Baton Rouge, New Orleans as we expand).

  • Subscriptions are for individual use only—one subscription per person, not transferable to family members or others.

  • You must provide accurate contact and payment information to use our services.

3. Pricing & Payment

Subscription Plans (Billed Separately)

  • Weekly Subscription: $125/week, includes 2 round trips (up to 25 miles each). Extra round trips at $20/trip.

  • Monthly Subscription: $450/month, includes 10 round trips (up to 60 miles each). Extra round trips at $20/trip.

  • Mileage Limits: After 25 miles (weekly) or 60 miles (monthly) per round trip, an hourly rate of $15/hour applies.

  • Waiting Time: 1 hour free waiting per trip; $15/hour thereafter within mileage limits.

  • Add-Ons:

    • Errand Package: $30/week (driver runs small errands, e.g., grocery pickup).

    • Extended Wait Time: $20/week (2 hours free waiting/trip).

  • Subscriptions are billed via a separate platform (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) and auto-renew until canceled.

Per-Trip & On-Demand (Via Moovs App)

  • Per-Trip: $25/round trip (up to 20 miles), $20/hour wait-time or after 20 miles.

  • On-Demand: $35/round trip (up to 20 miles), $20/hour wait-time or after 20 miles.

  • Per-trip and on-demand bookings are processed via the Moovs app, which charges a 4% fee (included in pricing).

General Payment Terms

  • All payments are due in advance. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled with 7 days’ notice.

  • Late payments may result in service suspension until the balance is cleared.

  • Refunds are not provided for unused subscription trips but may be considered for exceptional circumstances at our discretion.

4. Mileage & Hourly Rate

  • A “round trip” includes pickup, destination drop-off, and return to the starting point.

  • Mileage limits apply per round trip:

    • Weekly Subscription: 25 miles.

    • Monthly Subscription: 60 miles.

    • Per-Trip/On-Demand: 20 miles.

  • If a trip exceeds the mileage limit, an hourly rate applies ($15/hour for subscribers, $20/hour for non-subscribers) until the trip is complete, billed in 15-minute increments.

5. Subscriptions & Cancellations

  • Subscriptions provide priority booking and loyalty perks:

    • 3 Months: 1 free extra round trip/month.

    • 6 Months: 10% off extra trips ($20 to $18).

    • 1 Year: Personal Comfort Package (e.g., water, snacks, music—$20 value/week).

  • Subscriptions cover only the individual subscriber, not family members or others.

  • To cancel, notify us at [Your Email] at least 7 days before the next billing cycle. No refunds for unused trips in the current cycle.

6. “Sponsor a Ride” Program

  • Donations to “Sponsor a Ride” fund discounted ($15/trip) or free rides for low-income seniors.

  • Donations are non-refundable and do not guarantee specific ride allocations.

  • We aim to partner with a 501(c)(3) charity to make donations tax-deductible; until then, donations are not tax-deductible.

7. Responsibilities

Our Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, reliable transportation within the agreed mileage limits.

  • Assist with entry/exit from the vehicle, carry small bags, and wait at appointments as per the waiting time policy.

  • Maintain a clean, insured vehicle and comply with all local laws.

Your Responsibilities

  • Be ready at the scheduled pickup time and location.

  • Notify us of cancellations at least 24 hours in advance (no-shows may incur a $10 fee for subscribers, full trip cost for non-subscribers).

  • Ensure behavior is respectful—disruptive or unsafe actions may result in service termination.

  • Provide accurate medical or mobility needs in advance (e.g., wheelchair use) to ensure we can accommodate.

8. Safety & Liability

  • Vehicles are insured, and I am a licensed driver. However, Parish Passenger is not liable for injuries, damages, or losses during rides, except as required by law.

  • We are not a medical transport service. For emergencies, contact 911.

  • Personal belongings left in the vehicle are your responsibility; we’ll make reasonable efforts to return items but are not liable for loss.

9. Service Availability

  • Launching officially in early April 2025. Limited availability as early as March 25, 2025, upon request.

  • Services are subject to availability and may be affected by weather, vehicle issues, or other unforeseen circumstances. We’ll notify you of delays or cancellations as soon as possible.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who violates these terms or poses a safety risk.

10. Privacy

  • We collect personal information (e.g., name, contact details, payment info) to provide services and process bookings.

  • Information is not shared with third parties except as needed for payment processing (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Moovs) or legal requirements.

11. Changes to Terms

  • We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with the updated date.

  • Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
