At Parish Passenger, we believe every senior deserves the freedom to stay independent and connected—to doctor appointments, grocery stores, or social outings. But for many low-income seniors in St. Tammany Parish, reliable transportation is out of reach. That’s where you come in.

Through our Sponsor a Ride program, your donation helps fund discounted ($15/round trip) or free rides for seniors in need. Every dollar you give directly supports a senior’s mobility and dignity.

How It Works

Donate: Choose a one-time or recurring donation amount—$5, $10, $20, or any custom amount.
Support a Ride: Your contribution helps cover rides for low-income seniors, ensuring they can get where they need to go.
See the Impact: We’ll share updates on how many rides your donations have supported (if you opt in for emails).

Our Goal:

Year 1: Fund 40 rides ($1,040, or $20/week).
Year 2: Fund 100 rides ($2,600, or $50/week).
Year 3: Fund 150 rides ($3,900, or $75/week).

Tax Information

We are working to partner with a 501(c)(3) charity to make donations tax-deductible. Until then, donations are not tax-deductible but directly fund rides for seniors. We’ll notify you once our partnership is finalized, and you can opt in for updates.

Transparency

Donations are non-refundable and allocated at our discretion to support low-income seniors.
We aim to use 100% of donations for ride subsidies, but a small portion (up to 5%) may cover administrative costs (e.g., payment processing fees).
